Sharukh feeling shy to kiss onscreen, fears might not impress (doubt : audience or actress ;) ? )

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan says he is too shy to kiss on screen because he fears he can't pull it off in style.

A traditional industry where onscreen sex was implied by birds pecking or two flowers joining, Bollywood films are now becoming bolder and actors are beginning to kiss and perform love scenes.

But conservatives frown on such openness and film stars have been dragged to court on obscenity charges.

Khan, 41, is among the actors rarely seen lip-locking on the screen.

"I'm too shy to do kissing scenes," he told Reuters at a promotional event this week.

"There are some things which I cannot do and it is better not to do something if you cannot do it well."

Bipasha rubbishes talks of split with John..vows she wont speak bout private life

Bipasha Basu isn't enjoying the way her relationship with John Abraham is being linked to her absence in the new Clinic All Clear men's shampoo ad, the brand they endorse.

"People can say what they like. They do that anyway, no matter what explanations we give. John and I are not answerable to anyone," Bipasha told IANS.

Regarding the speculation about John doing the shampoo ad with another model, Bipasha said: "When we signed the contract for the shampoo we didn't even know we'd be doing any of their ads together."

Bipasha and John, who will be seen together in Goal after a long gap, signed their contracts separately.

"And my association with that brand of shampoo continues. At this point of time John and I are advertising different brands of shampoo. So the question of me being replaced in the new ad doesn't arise.

What I'm doing in my personal life shouldn't be of any consequence to anyone except me. I mean no harm to anyone-Bipasha"People can continue to speculate as much as they like. It doesn't bother me."

In fact, the loose talk about the status of her relationship with John has begun to annoy her.

"Let them say what they like. My life is mine alone. I'm answerable only to myself, my family and my close friends. Beyond that, does it really matter?

"What I'm doing in my personal life shouldn't be of any consequence to anyone except me. I mean no harm to anyone. So why harm me with such endless speculation?"

The gossip mongers have been going to town with the now-off-now-on observations.

"Precious news space shouldn't be wasted on such trivia. There's so much more worth writing about. From now I won't discuss my private life in print."

When Tulip gulps down Kunal's drink

Tulip JoshiTill quite recently, on top of the menu late in the night on the sets of Shree Ashtavinayak's yet-to-be-titled film were cans and cans of Diet Coke. If you are wondering who guzzled down so much of the soft drink, ask Tulip Joshi. The actress is a self-confessed Diet Coke freak.

Co-star Kunal Khemu also loves Diet Coke, so he keeps an ice-boxful of it with him all the time. Late in the night after the shoot, Tulip, Kunal and Aushima Saawhney, all playing lead roles in the film directed by Rohit Jugraj, used to sit for a chat. That's when Tulip would suddenly start craving for a drink.

Kunal recalls: "The three of us used to hang around after the shoot, sipping Diet Coke and Red Bull. Tulip used to finish off my stock of Coke once hers was over! It was a lot of dhamaal when we used to get to see the quirky side to Tulip."

Tulip laughs when she remembers what was till recently an addiction: "Yeah, at that time I used to have this intense craving for Diet Cokes. I used to raid Kunal and Aushima's ice boxes in front of them at late night. They used to laugh. But thankfully, now I have lost that obsession." The Coke guys sure have a perfect brand ambassadress in Tulip.

Dhoni's romance with Deepika continues..

Deepika Padukone and Mahendra Singh DhoniIndian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has shown both on and off the field that he is a man with a big heart. Besides hitting the ball hard on the field, he follows his heart off the field. He had the guts to invite his dream girl Deepika Padukone to the recent T20 match against Australia. The actress cheered on as Dhoni hit the winning six against the mighty Aussies. Now, the question is whether Deepika will invite Dhoni to the special screening of her debut film Om Shanti Om by director Farah Khan.

The Indian skipper had earlier asked actor Shahrukh Khan about the special screening of Om Shanti Om and had openly spoken about his feelings and admiration for its heroine Deepika Padukone. So, it looks like he will leave everything behind to see Deepika on the big screens if he is invited.

Now, the ball is with Deepika whether to heal Dhoni or leave him lonely!

Chiranjeevi's daughter seeks police protection from Dad

Apprehending a threat to their lives, Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi's newly-wed daughter and son-in-law on Monday moved the Delhi High Court seeking police protection.

The film star's daughter Srija, 19, a student of chartered accountancy, had created a flutter by marrying Sirish Bharadwaj, 22, her lover of four years, against the wishes of her family at a secret ceremony at an Arya Samaj temple in Hyderabad on October 17, 2007.

Counsel for the couple, Pinky Anand mentioned before a Division Bench of Chief Justice M K Sharma and Justice Sanjeev Khanna that the couple got legally married but they feared for their lives because Chiranjeevi was an influential person.

"The couple came to the capital after changing so many cars to save themselves," she said, seeking police protection for them.

She urged the court to hear the case on an urgent basis.

The Bench, taking her submission into account, fixed the matter for hearing at 2 pm on Monday

Breaking his silence on his younger daughter Srija's secret love marriage, Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi had on Sunday wished happiness for her. He, however, remained silent on whether he accepted the marriage.

It hurts says Shahid to watch kareena with Saif

Source: timesofindia

Disturbed by the onslaught of pictures in the media of Kareena and the new man in her life, actor Saif Ali Khan, Shahid admitted, “It will be dishonest to say that this doesn’t affect me. I am human, it hurts to see and read this all the time. I guess I have no choice but to live and deal with it.”

The endearing Shahid Kapoor has decided to end his silence and talk about his break-up with the ravishing Kareena Kapoor.

Disturbed by the onslaught of pictures in the media of her and the new man in her life, actor Saif Ali Khan, Shahid admitted to BT: “It will be dishonest to say that this doesn’t affect me. I am human, it hurts to see and read this all the time. I guess I have no choice but to live and deal with it.”

Their movie together is ready for release this week and he says that he is hoping the audience accepts them as an onscreen couple. Just as he talks his film, he goes on to talk about his relationship with Kareena that failed.

“I hold nothing against anybody, if I do, it will pull me down, and I’m not like that. I’ll cherish the good memories of that relationship and move on. That’s what I’m doing — looking at the positive side and trying to be happy,” he said sadly.

And is one of the positive sides the fact that the lover boy is single all over again? Shahid smiled coyly, “I am feeling a certain sense of independence all over again. Today, I have time to myself and can do things which maybe I always wanted to do but never could. From where I am at this point in life, things are looking up. The best part is the overwhelming affection, concern and support that people are showing. I feel special.”

What went wrong between Kareena and him? Was he a possessive lover? “Love in itself is enough. It brings security. One doesn’t need to be possessive. I have never been like that,” he said, adding, “But it is below Bebo’s dignity and mine to talk about all this now. I wish her all the happiness in the world. I have great respect for her. She’s a wonderful girl.” And what about himself? “Oh, I’m very optimistic and still believe in love. You don’t plan to fall in love but, yes, I will fall in love again,” he said crinkling his eyes and beaming.
